Become an AFROTC cadet

Basic Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college that hosts or has a crosstown agreement with an Air Force ROTC detachment. 
  • Be a U.S. citizen after freshman year. 
  • Be in good physical condition (cadets must pass the Fitness Assessment). 
  • Be of good moral character. 
  • Eligible to commission before age 39. 
  • Attend both the Aerospace Studies (https://catalog.missouri.edu/courseofferings/aero/) class and Leadership Lab each semester where cadets learn applied skills.

Ready to start your journey?

Create a WINGS profile and register for Aerospace Studies courses. You’ll need to fill out these forms and get a sport physical (no earlier than 30 days before classes begin) before you can participate in physical training and Leadership Lab.
