Message From the Commander

"Welcome to Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 440 at Mizzou, where our mission is to educate, enable, and develop leaders of character to fight and win our nation’s wars. Through superior education, focused training, and unwavering motivation, AFROTC opens the door for entry into the Air Force and the Space Force.

Embedded on campus, Detachment 440 offers cadets an ideal environment that emphasizes the Air Force core values of integrity, service and excellence while developing leaders of character for tomorrow’s Air Force and Space Force. As a cadet, you will be trained in military customs, courtesies, history, and standards. In addition, you will be introduced to the exciting and rewarding opportunities available in today’s Air Force and Space Force.

Our cadre will facilitate your growth as an individual, prepare you mentally and physically for the demands of military service, and develop your leadership skills to succeed as an officer in the Air Force and Space Force. We’re excited about your interest in AFROTC Detachment 440. We look forward to assisting you in becoming a member of the greatest Air Force or Space Force in the world."
